A knuckle boom lift is an important piece of access equipment that utilises a knuckle boom crane (aka picker crane, loader crane or articulating crane) with a platform attachment to lift workers to different heights (up to 38.3m with our machines) for temporary maintenance and construction work. The defining feature of the knuckle boom is that it bends in/near the middle of the crane boom, like the knuckle joint in your fingers, which makes it much more manoeuvrable and therefore useful in a variety of applications. It also folds down very efficiently which makes it ideal for compact spaces and restricted worksites. Modern knuckle booms may have more than one knuckle for extra articulation.
There are both electric and diesel models (we stock several of each) which are suitable for a range of applications, including both indoor and outdoor use.
